SWFL Eagles ~ Owl Strike On M15 Knocking Him Off Attic! Joins Harriet On Nest! Hooting Heard 1.8.22

It had been just over a week since the last owl strike on M15 but early this morning it happened again. The Great Horned Owl targets M15 and knocks him off the attic branch. He flies off to the left and returns quickly to the nest and joins Harriet as they both are on high alert. M stays on the nest protecting his family and then will head back up to the attic to stand guard once again. Hooting is heard at 5:58 faintly in the distance. M15 is an amazing eagle Dad to keep taking these owl strikes in his stride while he steadfastly protects his family. In regular time and slomo and views from cam 1, 2 and 360. Thank goodness M seems to be a tough gentleman! Amazing how he recovers from attacked during sleep. Really had it with these owls! Hope they move; dreadful neighbors!

I wish we had a cam set up for the nest that the GHOs use!! Would love to see them and their babies as well! Both species are stunning in their own special way, but I have a bit of bias for our sweet eagle family!

I was looking at M 15 in daytime--hours after the Owl strike--He is a Handsome beautiful Eagle as is Harriet-- Seemingly unconcerned about Nite before --Live for --- and In-- the Moment--is the Creed of any Wild Being--Bird or Animal. Remember the saying " Anything that doesn't Kill You-- Makes You stronger" M 15 is Living Proof of That-Standing Four--Square behind and Protecting His Mate and Family.

M may need to wear some armor to protect himself from those silent attack. Poor M. Hopefully the baby owls are growing up faster so parent owls don't feel the need to attack H&M. It's great that H was on the best covering the 19and20. And Hopefully the owls don't know there are babies in there. 19 and 20 need to grow faster!

Oh don't worry folks. If Mom or papa eagle spots any one of these owls in daylight, the owls may just end up 1 parent down.
