Unclean .22 lr Anshutz

A borescope image of a .22 rimfire that has had over 5000 rounds through it and never been cleaned. May be i should now.

Is what we are looking at bad? I've never had the chance to look inside the bore before.

Ok, when you say never been cleaned, you mean never been scrubbed, like with a brass brush or lapping compound, correct? Because it's obvious you have/do run patches through it. Anyone who shoots rimfire knows darn good and well how much wax and powder and primer residue is left behind after a day at the range and there's none in that bore.
