You sound more Denver to me. You don’t have near enough Wisconsin/minnesota/Illinois for me to call you Midwest. And I’ve spent time in all those areas through to Ohio.
And you identified that kardashian accent as a vocal fry accurately. And to me that screams one thing…affected….. nobody speaks that way naturally, and that whole thing of pronouncing “Martin” like “mar’in” still perplexes me. I thought it was regional at one point (northwest) but it appears to be more generational than regional. And it feels affected as hell.
