I like the Oklahoma panhandle. The entire Oklahoma panhandle is as high as a mountain. The eastern part of the panhandle is 2000 ft high and the middle part is over 3000 ft high and the tip of the panhandle is just under 5000 ft in elevation with the Black Mesa. The town of Guymon is 3124 ft high and Boise City is 4167 ft high. The town of Kenton is 4350 ft high in elevation.
The Black Mesa is the highest point in the state of Oklahoma at 4973 ft and is higher than 27 states. I think the Black Mesa is one of the most beautiful places in the United States. It is where the great plains meet the Rocky mountains and desert . It is less than 5 miles from the TRI-POINT where Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado meet. The Black Mesa is part of the Rocky mountains and the nearby town of Kenton, Ok is in the mountain time zone instead of the central time zone.
There are dinosaur tracks just under 1 mile away from the Black Mesa trail head. In another location in the Black Mesa area there are dinosaur tracks with a foot print that are 6 feet by 6 feet in length and width from a huge dinosaur. One of the largest dinosaurs ever found on earth was found at the Black Mesa area. There were more than 18 tons of dinosaur bones discovered in the Black Mesa area.

Texans were ok with losing a big chunk of land in order not to give up owning people.
