I love how the female teacher was bored after 2 minutes of this video, and they tell us of for looking bored after half an hour.

I don’t think that the teachers should take offense to this, because it’s not them who’s making the kids forget their knowledge... it’s the school system itself.

Last year, when I was in 8th grade, I had a teacher who was one of the best teachers I ever had. Not only was she cool, but I loved her thoughts on school. She said that if she was in charge of the school system, she would remove grades in a heartbeat because what she wants is for us to actually LEARN. She also talked about how school doesn't teach basic life stuff like how to do taxes and how to write paychecks, so she taught us how to write paychecks, even tho I had already learned it in 5th grade lol. She would also make us write check in and check out forms every day every morning and afternoon when we were doing distance learning. In the forms, you would need to choose what mood your in. And then, at the end of the form, you have to write something you want to tell her or let her know and it can be anything. She would also try to send us emails to check up on us once in a while to see how we're doing. Little did she know that by her doing that, it made me feel less anxious about the pandemic and everything else around. If I wasn't able to talk to my parents or friends, I was able to talk to her. I know it sounds weird being able to talk to your teachers, but she just made it super easy to talk to and she ALWAYS tries to understand what we're going through as if she was a student that's our age herself! What I hated the most was when my classmates would always say that they hate her or she's the worst or she's so annoying. It's not her, it's the kids! They don't like people telling them anything when they're doing something wrong or being disrespectful, which annoys me so much. The point I'm trying to make is first, if you're a teacher, showing you care about your students really makes a difference, even tho it sometimes seems it doesn't, but trust me, it does. And two, if you're still in school, please don't take advantage of good teachers. Don't get mad when they tell you not to do something when you know you're wrong.
