Ajax Systems unveils WaterStop — a shutoff valve with remote control. The device combines a high-quality valve and a powerful electric actuator. You can control WaterStop from anywhere in the world — all you need is an Internet connection and an Ajax app.

The device is compatible with cold and hot water pipes. A high-quality Bonomi valve is included in the set and comes in three sizes: ½" (DN 15), ¾" (DN 20), and 1" (DN 25). The electric actuator shuts off the water in 5 seconds automatically, by command from the app or by pressing the enclosure's button on-site. Also, the actuator is compatible with all ball valves that meet the ISO 5211 standard.

With WaterStop in pair with the LeaksProtect water leak detector and automation scenarios, it is easy to build a fully automated leak prevention system. The electric actuator mounts without any tools and enclosure disassembling and operates for up to 3 years with pre-installed batteries. When a constant shut-off valve operation is required, there is an option to connect a 9–12 V⎓ power supply.

Great product. I am using Ajax for my home security. The video mentions its IP54 but the product page says indoor use only. Can it be used/installed outside????
