When we are falsely accused, we should not hesitate to defend ourselves, but we should avoid being defensive. While we can legitimately defend ourselves when falsely accused without being defensive, by calmly stating the truth, in my opinion it’s usually not worth getting all upset and insisting that we be listened to. The truth usually comes out in the end, and if we’ve just continued to live our life in Christ, in word and deed, we can be assured that He will take care of everything. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

When we are falsely accused, we should not hesitate to defend ourselves, but we should avoid being defensive. We can we legitimately defend ourselves when falsely accused without being defensive by stating the truth calmly, without being argumentative. We can’t let our hurt and pain dictate our reactions to people. We can’t make people believe us. Instead we have to trust that the truth will be revealed. Even if the truth isn’t revealed we can trust that God knows the truth and all is well with our soul.
