It's kinda sad knowing that the Protagonist sees a stranger when they meet, but Neil sees a friend he knows for years, and knows that their time together is very limited.

Neil : *knows everything*
Robert Pattinson : " There were times during the shooting, I had no idea what was going on "

The first time you watch this film, you see it from the perspective of the protagonist.
.
The second time you watch it, you see it from niel’s perspective.
.
Classic nolan

I just want a sequel with the protagonist “meeting” Neil and recruiting him. Really solid chemistry

Neil deserves a spin off of his own. Easily the most entertaining, most memorable character in the film!

So,
Neil = manga reader
The Protagonist = anime only

Honestly, what I find really compelling about Tenet is that last bit the Protagonist says. Does being here, being alive, mean that they succeed? Fatalism is always painted as very pessimistic and bleak, but imagine how much of a confidence boost it would be to know your actions will matter. Self-actualization in Tenet is made literal; by the Protag working for himself. If you work for your future, your future will work for you.

"Does your head hurt yet?"
"yes..."

Probably the most relevant line in the entire movie lmao

Tenet needs a sequel. Robert Pattinson's needs to be expanded upon.

You can tell from the little smile he cracks at 0:06 he's happy to see his friend but obviously can't give away why he, from TPs perspective, would be so happy to see a random stranger.

It took me twice to realize that the way protagonist ask Neil "DID YOU TALK". is because last time when someone "talk", he lost his whole team.

“Every law of physics..” always reminds me of “every magic trick..”

Okay, Neil knowing the exact day Sator was missing is the single best evidence I've seen for Neil being Max.

1:10 Neil is just like, oh dear, shouldn't have said that, should not have said that. Changing the subject now!

Is anyone else on board with the idea that Neil is actually Max from the future repaying him for saving his mother?

I think one detail, that perhaps might not be intentional (then again, it's Nolan here, so it probably is intentional), is that when Neil first meets Protagonist and shakes his hand he almost seems to be in disbelief that he doesn't recognize him. It's kind of a look like "Wow you really _don't_ recognize me, do you?" Obviously on first watch it doesn't look like anything, but after seeing everything, his slight pause seems to hold a lot more meaning.
