I always find it stupid whenever any vhs horror stuff has a vhs tape that was supposedly made against the evil things, yet the tape somehow got modified by the thing, and instead of just blocking all the survival strategies, they add their picture and some scary sentence. FNAF VHS tapes are particularly guilty of this by having tapes that show the souls suffering using the animatronics in pain, which means the souls either know how to do 3d animation or they somehow filmed them without anyone noticing. Spectre is one that does it in what I believe to be good way since they are basically just VHS tapes that someone would have filmed without any ghost modifications.
