HOLIDAY APPETIZERS | EASY APPETIZER RECIPES | COOK WITH ME | JESSICA O'DONOHUE

I am so excited to bring you 3 more delicious appetizer recipes! This is Part II of my Holiday Appetizers videos! These are perfect for your Holiday get together or even if you just want to make a small batch for your family! They were quick and easy and oh sooooo yummy!! Come hang out in the kitchen and cook with us!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts:
About 6 slices of bacon(depending on how many you make)
Cut each strip in half.
Drain Water Chestnuts
Wrap a half slice of bacon around each and secure with toothpick
Make Sauce:
1/3 cup Heinz Chili Sauce
1/3 Cup Mayo
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
Mix and brush on top of each one
Bake for 25 mins at 400 degrees

If you will use thread circled around the brie and then pull it will cut the brie evenly and do easy.

Jessica, this made me so happy! My dad made the exact bacon/chestnut recipe in the 60’s when I was little. He passed away in 2015 and I forgot the sauce recipe, but this is IT! Thank you so so much!!!! ❤

Hey Y’all! I am a newer subscriber that has been with you about two months now. I have been binge watching both of your channels like a crazy woman. LOL 😂 my Hubbs even knows when I’m watching because he hears the sound of Jessica‘s, sweet laughter! I hope you go back and visit your older videos for newer comments, from crazy people like me who will spend two weeks binge, watching their new favorites!
Anyway, everything in this entire video looks and sounds amazing, of course. Although I want to put my two cents in on the brie and puff pastry appetizer. You can start very simple and then build on the flavor profile based on how far you would like to take it. To begin, simply start off with a single Brie wheel, no need to cut through it. Place it in the center of your rolled out puff pastry, drizzle the Brie wheel with olive oil, and then smother the brie with your roasted garlic! I use 3 to 4 whole bulbs of garlic for this simple recipe. Now STOP to imagine if you will, just how much you love your roasted garlic bulbs. Now imagine all of that delicious garlic and olive oil swimming in melted brie cheese spread on a buttery cray. Once you have your roasted garlic, all over the brie and olive oil, wrap up your puff pastry, the way you always do using your egg wash, then cutting and placing the steam vents into the top of the dough Exactly the way you do in the recipe you’ve shown is here. Bake the same way, same temperature, same time. Use your most favorite crackers, or some crusty bread, as your dipping vessel. YumEee Right! Now, if you would like to further enhance the deliciousness, after you have drizzled, the olive oil on the brie wheel, drizzle some of your favorite balsamic vinegar on there. Just a little bit. Then sprinkle your roasted OR CANDIED pecans all over before wrapping with the puff pastry. Now I have not tried it with the prosciutto. I imagine that would be next, next…NEXT
Level. The next time I make this appetizer, I will definitely be using the prosciutto.

I have a suggestion that makes the Brie Bake easier. If you roll out the puff pastry first, then lay the prosciutto in a circle. Now place the Brie on top and make your layers. Then fold up the prosciutto and after that fold up the puff pastry. It will be easier and less messy. I love your vids. Thank u for sharing.

Love that you make appetizers the dinner! It seems so often after we have them at holidays, we don't need the main meal. These appetizers look delicious. The brie dish would be great one layer each, I bet so you could have four separate puff pastries. Have you tried that? With the multiple layers it seemed like you were having a handheld fondue! Yum! More appetizers please!
