This particular video leads me to think that I need to take a course in grammar terminology. Imperfect, infinitive, participle? Haven't visited these words in decades.

I'd like to humbly add a small caveat regarding the actual, *spoken* variants of some sentences, since we (the portuguese) tend to simplify imperfects, to avoid sounding *too* formal. So:

- "Podias fechar a janela?", for instance, is mostly used in the present, i.e. "Podes fechar a janela?" (and, yes, those can curiously *also* express two different levels of "tu"-formality ("Podias" is more formal)
- "O que farias com 10 mil euros? Compraria um carro." absolutely correct, but what you'll actually hear is "O que *fazias* com 10 mil euros? *Comprava* um carro" (and not meaning to add to the confusion, but when using "o que fazias", it is generally spoken as "o que é que fazias...")

Sorry, and thank you again for making me realise how confusing my own language can be...

Love these short, relevant, helpful tutorials. Most of us learn much better when we can "break it down" into small chunks.
