I loved my dad so much he was such a funny guy but when it came to trick-or-treating he got competitive lol my best friend and I would be so tired and my dad‘s like just one more block just one more block, he loved candy. ( I have to add my dad was very physically fit) He just wanted to see how much we could possibly get and do better than the last year it was like he was competing with himself. Hahaha! He has been gone 12 years and I miss him terribly.

How were you able to have self control as a child you amaze me you are a gift if I had that type of self control when I was a kid I would have been able to not harm me and my brother on many occasions lol

I got grounded 1 time. I enjoyed it so much they never did it again.
No one brothered me. My brothers had to leave me along. One of the best week of my childhood. Tv was never my jam, but unlimited reading? Omg! I lived my best life for a week.

I was a good kid, too! Stayed out a couple times past my curfew as a teen but that's it. We could eat what we wanted from our Halloween candy. But after a few pieces(or 8 😁), that was about all we could handle.

I think that letting your children be themselves and not get punished over every mistake is the best way to make them choose hood things and be happy

My mom used to do this awful thing where after we went trick or treating she would put all of our candy together and then my brother would eat all of the reses cups and kit Kats.

I got grounded till she forgot why she grounded me. So I had no idea if I was still in trouble or not. Technically I'm still grounded from 10 years ago. (For missing cerfew by 30 minutes (miss calculating how long it'd take to get back home )
