👍 About VideoShowMeHow

⏩ What's with the gloves?
Not after any YouTube fame here which is why I'm not in the vids - they're not about me they're about the how-to! I used the gloves for the first couple of projects I filmed which just happened to be messy ones and it kinda just became a thing - easy to spot my videos! If that's not your thing and you'd prefer to watch a face, all good, I won't be offended, there's plenty of better looking ones to watch already on YouTube ;)

⏩ Where did this start?
I really enjoy tinkering with different projects - they usually require a whole bunch of research and learning along the way. It's satisfying on doing a thing and standing back and going 'Yeah! Totally did that!'. I had a bunch of mates asking 'how did you know how to do that?' and 'I couldn't never do that myself so I thought; I need to start something where I can help others that might be thinking the same thing :)

⏩ What will you find here?
The purpose is simply to make these videos as top quality and helpful as I can. They will always be free, there's ZERO agenda and the only motive is to try and upload what I would want to watch to help with that particular project. I'm also keen to keep building this little community and will try to answer all questions when asked - fire away :)

I can stress enough by putting your Plastidip and Glossifier in a bucket of hot water for 20 minutes prior to using... Its a huge difference how it comes out smoothly and dries smoothly.

Glad they finally came out with a dedicated gloss finish vs using the glossifier . Much better results . Alot of people sometimes prefer the gloss look over matte for wheels, emblems, even interior accent trim

New to spray painting and struggled the past 2 weeks to get a nice finish.
What made my work 100% awesome with a perfect finish? *Place the plasti dip can in warm water for 20mins* <---- SERIOUSLY DON'T SKIP THIS STEP. Then shake vigorously for a minute and shake can EVERY TIME BEFORE you apply your coats. I shook the can for 20 seconds before each coat AND PLACED IT BACK IN THE WARM WATER. Pretty much kept the can in the warm water until I was done.
THIS ^^^ Will not only make it spray better but the end finish is gorgeous.
Also let the paint dry for a full 24 hours before handling it.
I made mistake by handling my painted surfaces too soon because its still tacky, sticky.
*Warm paint can for 20mins in warm water*
*Let full 24hours to dry* = Profit

I did my badges matte black in the white MUX and it looks great. I like the dark grey finish at the front of my MUX but want to do the black on the chrome strips. Will have to think about how I do this! Nice job as always!! Little tip is to keep the cab in warm water between coats and even after you shake it do a test spray prior to each coat to ensure you don’t get splatter

This was great. I’m going to chrome delete the grill on my Honda Fit/Jazz. I did not want to pay 200 USD for a vinyl wrap on the grill.

Thank you very much for posting this. I plan on using this on a motorcycle sidecar soon. My dog will be getting in and out of that thing. Right now I don’t see spending big money on a high dollar paint job. So this will be sufficient. Thanks!!!

Nice and simple instructions on how to do this. I’m doing some pieces on my motorcycle this weekend. I know it’ll come out great now.

The gloss finish is really great, I’ve used matte finish before but the gloss is next level
