You’re a big reason I’m getting better in physics and chemistry and now you’re the reason the reason I’m more optimistic about my upcoming SAT

I was talented in math, however by staying at home attending online school for 1 year I forgot almost everything of math in 9th and 10 the grade. But now I reviewing all of it by this, doing well. THX !!!

for question 12 instead of doing all that work just remember that the sume is -b/a and the prod are c/a

For Q12: Organic Chemistry tutor made a mistake, -9 + 8 equals -1, not 1. Also, all this calculating can be avoided by using viette's theorem, which states that for every quadratic equation with solutions x1 and x2, x1 + x2 = -b/a and x1x2 = c/a. Hope this helps!

Easier method for Q2 is

Sum of solutions = -b/a
Product = c/a
And thats only for quadratic equations

For Q12
6k^2+k-12
( 3k -4)
(2k 3)
we multiple diagonally and then
we will find this: 9k-8k=k so this solution is median number in this equation. Finally, we are writing this two factor side by side.
this means (3k-4)(2k+3) and we are equalizing 0. And we will find k= 4\3 and k=-3\2
ps., 3k*2k=6k^2 and (-4)*3=-12

in Q.11.
you can build an equation in the forme a^2+2ab+b^2 by that: 51=x^2+8x+3,
here we have a=x & b=8/2=4
then we need to make 4^2 or 16 to make it more clear, 3=16-13,
so the equation will be like this:
51=x^2+8x+3
=> 51=x^2+8x+16-13
=> 51+13=x^2+2*4*x+4^2
=> 64=(x+4)^2
=> (x+4)^2-64=0
=> (x+4)^2-8^2=0 ; we knows that: a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)
=> [(x+4)-8][(x+4)+8]=0 ; we knows that:a*b=0 is mean that a=0 or b=0
=> x+4-8=0 or x+4+8=0
=> x-4=0 or x+12=0
=> x=4 or x=-12
but in the answers we have just 4 so answer is D, thanks for everything <3

For number twelve there is simple rule for solving which is -b/a . In that question b=1 and a=6 so it is -1/6 .

Hello sir. First off all wanted to appreciate you giving out free education. wanted to suggest you a couple short tricks. Like Q12 could have been solved in a second, as the sum of the roots of 'Ax^2 + Bx + C' is '-B/A'

Factoring is really difficult for me. I’ve done pretty decently in all the math leading up to factoring, but this is like my Achilles heel

12. 6k²+1k-12 = k²+(k/6)-(12/6)
You can read the answer by just looking at the b term.

you do this solving method when there is only Quadratic Equations yeah?( asking for the first question, and sorry for bad english)

there is a much faster way to solve the second question.tThe sum of solutions can be found using this -b/a

i got a question why is question 11 after he factored he replaced the whole thing with the factor he got and got two solutions for that
but in question 12 he factored but only replaced the middle term with the factored numbers he got, i dont get it
