Awesome to see what the inside of my shoes looks like! I needed a pair for my NYC trip, and the Hey Dude Bradley Classics turned out to be incredibly comfortable. I wanted to invest in a nice pair of boots and did extensive research, but most were simply too uncomfortable to wear. I know they’re not technically real boots, but I walked through snow, rain, and icy slush with my Hey Dudes, and my feet never got wet or cold. I initially thought the sole might be their weak spot, but it held up well.

Faux leather is an automatic deal breaker.

I got mine (in boys size) on sale. I bought them for the comfort and aesthetics but these aren't like a work boot. They're great to throw on and run errands, but if I'm going to be out all day, then I wear a regular pair of shoes. Do not pay full price for them, but if you can find them on sale or clearance, then they are worth it.

Heydudes are the country boy version of crocs. Footwear that says I give up.

At least by the marketing it doesn’t seem they are intentionally trying to mislead people into believing this is purpose built for anything more than just being footwear.

Every year I buy two pair of Bradley boots I'm on my fourth year now and the oldest to pair still look brand new and I work on my feet all day!

This brand is very transparent about what they offer, and their shoes are excellent—comfortable, well-made, and reliable. It's unnecessary to subject them to extreme tests like burning or cutting, as these actions don't reflect their true quality or purpose. Instead, their comfort and durability speaks for itself.

Personally, I LOVE mine, have 2 pairs! I choose to wear these purely as a comfort option when I know I’m going to be indoors all day but still want a moc toe boot look with my outfit😁
You’re gonna have different experiences depending on what you expect out of them, and I’d never expect these to live in the same environment as any of my boots lol😆

I am almost always in your corner, but this is one moment where we differ. I own 4 pairs of Hey Dude Wallys and a pair of their “Branson” Chelsea boot, and while they aren’t going to meet any standard of excellence when compared to work boots or heritage boots, they absolutely fulfill the purpose of being wildly comfortable and scratching a few itches. I teach and am on my feet all day every day, and the sole as well as the insert provide more comfort for me than any other shoe I own. I hiked in the Chelsea boot, and through mud and water, my feet stayed dry and didn’t hurt from rigid leather footbeds and panels.

I would never work manual labor in a pair of these, but I’ll tell you this: hardworking fellas in the south wear these when they aren’t wearing boots so their feet can freaking breathe and relax for a change.

You are correct that this is not a boot in the sense that they can be used as a tool on the manual labor job site, but for those of us who need weatherproof boots, a little bit of support, and a whole lot of cushion, they are a godsend. I don’t see them going anywhere. Most people who wear them hate the look but love the shoe for comfort reasons. I think they have staying power for this.

I don’t mean any disrespect when I say any of this. I just see this footwear as what it is: comfortable. Not utilitarian in many sense, but Jesus… comfortable.

These should not be considered a work boot by anyone. No support, no protection. That being said, I have two pairs and love them for just kicking around or wearing at my office. They are available in true leather, as well as a heavy canvas. I have the true leather in black and the heavy canvas in olive green. Got both heavily discounted. Would never buy them full price, but I love them at half price.

I bought that boot in that color half 60% OFF and I love them for an office job, they stupid comfortable for my very wide feet.
The leather low classics are all I've been wearing to work daily since August 2024.
There's also the Duke Eco Shield, sturdier, also comfortable and deal very well with wet weather, maybe do a review on thos also 🤘
Happy guy here!

Hey Dudes remind me of the Sanuk Sidewalk Surfers that became trendy in like 2012ish

What a crime to sell these for $90 is criminal. What junk. They can't be good for your feet. Keep up the good work on showing bad footwear.

Just a quick spray with some Rhino Liner and those Hey Dudes almost become real shoes.

I did some testing for Hey Dude in 2012 before they became super popular. The model I tested was like high-top sneakers but they were made to look like wingtips for some reason, with a lot of broguing. The model name was the "Osaka" and I literally cannot find a single picture of them online. They weighed like 1/4 of what I expected, the entire thing was made of foam, and even the bottom of the sole had no rubber on it. They slipped even on dry sidewalk. They had some fake sherpa insulation but only at the very top, to make it look like it was insulated but they weren't.

Unsurprisingly, they ripped beyond shoe goo's ability to repair after about 3 months of occasional wear.
