Pad 39A is not just the only human rated launch pad in the state, it is the only human rated pad in the United States. Worse, it is the only one outside of China or Russia.

Your comment is valid, but is missing the second reason that a second tower is being built.
Because launches require 3 days to configure, only 100 +/- are possible.
In 2024 SPACEX plans 120+
This means a second tower is needed.

It would also allow them to launch two crew dragons within minutes of each other to rendezvous in orbit and put 14 crew aboard a starship, thus avoid needing to have Starship human rated for launch and landing. :D

9 months later they're about to use it for the first time. Polaris Dawn is scheduled for LC-39A and Crew 9 is going to use SLC-40.

The Cape should go ahead and approve SLC50&51 North of SLC39 that would make a great Star ship facility. It would also take some of the other launch providers bitching.
