Wow have we had a heck of a lot of action at the orbital launch site. SpaceX Starship fires up & tower arms go on! NASA to select second HLS? Well, we have some possibly unexpected news that indicates that there could once again be two companies selected for NASA’s Human Landing System. SLS Fully Stacked with Orion. Lucy launched exactly one week ago but a little hiccup to address there, and Soyuz MS-18 returns with its film crew.

I’ll cry happy tears if they choose Dynetix rather than Blue Origin, lol. The irony will be delicious.

I can’t wait for this show each week. I follow a lot of space updates but this is by far my favorite.

I think NASA should pick Dynetics just to give Bezos the middle finger.

Week by week, watching these updates, it's nothing but surreal the pace in which Spacex is developing

14:10 "Waow, 2014, close to 8 years ago! Who would have thought we would still be waiting to see the 2nd test mission!"
SAVAGE Marcus, absolutely savage :D ... I love the small pokes at the incredibly slow progress of some space programmes.

Yourself and the everyday astronaut are the only reliable sources on space issues. I really appreciate the non click bait titles. Thanks. 👍

I highly recommend that everyone reading this goes back and watches one of these videos from Marcus that was published awhile back. You will be truly amazed with the progress SpaceX has made from what ever random point in time you choose.

I remember the Orion OFT. I thought 2 years max, the boosters where being tested, the SSME's, tank welding had begun in Michoud...

The Moon rising in the background was awesome!

I think intermediate storage for de-tanking is your most likely use case for those horizontal tanks. Using the vertical tanks would require a lot of pumping, whereas the horizontal ones could probably use gravity for most of the work.

Took my youngest daughter to KSC yesterday on a class field trip. The place is amazing and full of history. Pictures do not do justice to the sizes that these rockets deserve. The Atlas rocket and Atlantis Space Shuttle are MASSIVE! It is definitely worth the trip if you ever come to Florida.

Thank you for another great video, Marcus!
The most worrisome part is not the accidental firing of the engines, but Roscosmos' attitude to those accidents a-la "Move along, nothing to see here" — the attitude we've seen so many times, including the catastrophes like at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in 1986, submarine "Kursk" in 2000, and in Norilsk last year.

Blue Origins stack looks like a model T version of a starship
