I'm actually working with DVR18 (I begined editing with DVR15) just from time to time. But with your video, I think I learned more in half an hour than with all those years I used it because you showed what every buttons does and you try them right on the screen so I saw what the use are for plus you explained quickly in the same time (sometime a little to fast for me though but hey... that's me...) Fantastic tutorial! I've used Camtasia for many years and am ready to step up my game! Thank you for your detailed explanation about the basic controls. I've always wanted to use Davinci Resolve and the UI wasn't too intuitive. I didn't know where to start. I tried watching other tutorials but they were really hard to sit through. Yours was entertaining, engaging as well as informative! I've subscribed and am going to watch the Color Grading for Beginners next. I'm filming my first project this Sunday and I can see now how powerful this editor really is and how much of a difference it will make on the finished video! This was great, I used to do video editing back in the 90s with AB roll editors on Umatic tapes and the video toaster 2000 for graphics. Then I had another career that did not involve video editing for the past 20+ years. Now I wanted to to edit a video and I had no idea how people do that these days. This was really helpful. I've been working with Premiere elements, and was looking for a more powerful editing software, and I landed on DVR18. It's pretty intimidating to just hop into it, so this was really good as a starting point
