This time we will talk about and extend the slide-out(s).
We use several slide-out systems in our RVs. Rack-and-Pinion, also known as Thru Frame, Electric or Hydraulic, Cable driven, and In-Wall systems all use the RV battery to power the motor(s) and extend or retract the slide room.
Let’s go over some important operating tips.

Please do a video explaining what we should do in the event the motor or a cable fails and the slider doesn't retract all the way in!! What can we do when we are miles from the nearest RV service? How can we manually get the slider to retract?

The slideout cable brackets on my 2020 Keystone Cougar were not properly installed at the factory causing the cables to fray, and therefore causing me to cancel some camping trips, and a lot of aggravation. I have had many problems with my Cougar. I would not buy another one.

I have a 2002 keystone Montana and I can’t tell if my living room slide is sliding in correctly. It’s a the rack and pinion one and when it’s coming in the bottom comes in first and then the top comes in and it scares me every time bc I don’t know it that’s how it’s suppose to work for those. Is this normal?
