Motorcycles are 100% mobility and 0% armor. Which means you’re not allowed to make any mistakes.

Wrecked, hospital 13 days, 5 days ICU (pulmonary embolism). Jumped on bike 3 days after I got home healing broke ribs, shoulder and torn meniscus. I had to get back on the saddle or I never would again. Hardest part to get passed was riding past the accident scene. Never experienced anxiety that rich before.

She was doing 20mph and he was doing +100mph at time of accident.
Glad she lived, when you ride with people who ride “recklessly”, you have to be ready to be in part of their wreck.
Glad she lived.
4yrs ago I stopped street riding and rarely even trail ride with all the big side-by-sides flying around these days. Maybe I’ll get back into it, but not like I used to.

The guy doing 110 was at fault no question about it. What made that person think doing 110 and flying up behind a slower motorcycle and gonna pass on the right was ok and it wasn. I feel sorry for that poor girl that lost her leg to ignorance and stupidity and i hope he lost his license and got charged.

This is exactly why I left street riding. Back to dirt and back country roads. At this point in my life id rather deal with the animals.

My husband got in a bad motorcycle accident on February 19th and it was the worse thing he has went through and one of many worse things I went through! I’ll never forget him calling me from the middle of the freeway telling he was hurt bad and that it’s bad! I hauled ass trying to figure out where my husband was. I waited outside the hospital for hours till i was able to go in, all he kept saying was sorry! I lost my brobro in 2020(not death lost him but he has a traumatic brain injury, and will never be the same his wife of six months at the time blocked us from seeing him or contacting us. I think she did it to him she has a child from someone else and not giving my brother to me) lost my mom in 2021. He is all I have left I believe that’s why he was saying sorry cause he knows I’ve been through a lot and I don’t want to be without him EVER!! But I walked in that emergency room strong no tears not knowing what I was going to see. I saw a lot but I stayed strong I was sooo stressed out and worried trying to keep him as positive as I could not crying once cause I didn’t want him to worry! He stayed a month in the hospital nights were the hardest for us cause I couldn’t stay with him. I cried as soon as I walked out of his room every night, cried at home wanting my best friend home that whole month was HARD!! My husband is amazing and soo strong because he walked out that hospital!! He has a lot of scars but he is still here and I thank the lord for that every day!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I kiss his scars and tell him no matter how he looks I love him sooo much and I will be here for him till my last breath and I really do mean! I love this man with my whole heart and soul!! He is all I have left!! 😩😩😭😭

This is a sobering lesson to a lot of people seeing it. When we do group rides, the rowdy riders lead, and the slower riders stay in the back. I'm assuming the low speed was to wait for those behind to catch up. If anyone riding ever ends up in the front and wants to wait up, I've always found it's best to ride on the white line, this leaves the lane open, and if you turn your head to look back and your bike slightly veers to the left as a result, there's still most of the lane available. Be safe out there folks!

I’m 60 yr sport biker and I would NEVER put myself or anyone else in danger by assuming it’s ok to speed or wheelie around other drivers. Only when the coast is absolutely clear 😁

Just got my Class M and Ill tell you this much, If your not out doing Wheelies and Being stupid, You will be fine
Our instructor told us “The people who fear owning a Bike are the ones who should learn to ride the most, The moment you lose that fear, You can lose your life”

I have been ridding two years now and I find myself going slower than when I started. I noticed that when going the speed limit most people see you and they are able to make turns before or after me without hitting me. If someone does pull out and I am going 25 mph I stop or maneuver around the danger and NEVER GET MAD. If was was doing 45 mph in a 25 and someone pulls out its game over.

My buddy passed away last season in a scenario just like this. Except, he was the other rider that ended up in the ditch.

I'll spare you the details, but he clip my friend and went airborne, his head hitting a telephone pole...

R. I. P. Austin... Buying ice cream for all the kids will never be the same without you brother.

Glad that you are still with us. It could have been far worse.

I always use caution when coming up behind any vehicle to be sure they see me.

A good friend of mine almost lost his leg in exactly the same way. He almost bled out at the scene. But he's back to riding now even though it stopped him from continuing to pro motorcross.

Thanks for sharing your inspiring journey and letting others know they aren't alone!

At this point, whether she was in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position, nothing would have happened if the guy wasn't speeding... and her certainly saw her first before she could see him. He can't assume it's ok to ride next to her either. All 3 positions are hers...
