He did a respectful, subtle millisecond pause, accepted it all, was grateful, acted busy to not try it, and then did a respectful millisecond hesitation before accepting to try it when asked. Props to him! He was going to go ahead and say wonderful things and be kind, but you definitely made sure to make it taste really bad that he had to say the truth, lol. So sweet, because in the household I'm in, the family is overly honest, and they won't let you live anything down.
