Tyrone Taylor told himself to be "on time" for Gerrit Cole's "heater," and he did just that blasting a 400-foot home run as the Mets offense dominated Cole in a 12-3 win. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza was proud of his club, complimenting their "aggressiveness" in taking both games at Yankee Stadium.

I really like Taylor and think he can be a valuable asset for the team. Don’t understand the signing of JBJ when we have Taylor, Gamel and Stewart who is struggling but that happens. I think Taylor should be playing more RF and should be in a rotation with McNeil who will also rotate with Iglesias. McNeil sits, plays RF, Plays 2B, rinse repeat. Why does JD Martinez have the JD on his jersey? There are no other Martinez on the team.
