The Man and the Thief is a short film made in my first semester at Sae, Sydney.

Hi there,
I am based in Australia. This was shot in a small town called the Hawkesbury river on the Central Coast (about an hour north of Sydney)

Because of people like her makes it hard for other people to trust in each other. I help a boy he was walking in the rain and I felt bad and ask him if he needed a ride he said yes and he was real kind about it when I drop him off by the store I got mugged by him and his little drug friends took my watch, wallet, phone, and car I reported it to the police and they caught them a month later. I got my car back but nothing els. It's because of people like them I don't help anyone out no more. I use to help a lot of people out but they change my life and now I just worry about my self and family.

I get the negative comments on the page, people expecting more than they THINK they are getting. This was actually a great example of how to tell a story with just SFX and music. The twist at the end was great. Great usage of foley and library stock sounds.

You would think that bc the man helped recover her purse that the young woman would be grateful enough not to steal from him. She is the thief. It left a hole in my heart to see the replay of her reaching into his back pocket. I felt stabbed. The young man thought he did something nice, which he did, but as he waves when she boards the train he is unaware of what's missing. Why do people steal? She wears a smug grin for a successful wallet grab and hide. I feel terrible for the guy who is now without his wallet, and no one is around to help him recover it. He's going to have to contact police, give a report of what he thinks might have happened, and contact all the agencies for credit card freeze, i.d. replacement, etc. I shouldn't get angry bc it's a movie, but this situation can really happen in real life. I hope it doesn't happen to me or anyone I know. It represents a loss to humanity. To start, we need better people in our society in order to feel safe and secure. ☮️
