My first impressions of the K-Tech Razor-R Lite shock on my CRF300L on a familiar dirt route for a good comparison.

Love how you're incrementally doing each mod and reporting how each one improved the bike instead of throwing everything on at once with an unrealistic budget for most people.

I did the Race Tech front spring Kit on my CRF300L, it was night and day difference- zero bounce and with the correct oil in the forks it works amazing- I ride aggressive and I a lot of whoops and small jumps as well as pavement- the difference is way better than factory- around $150.00 for the kit-

You’ll be happy you did the modification- on road handling and braking is significantly increased on the positive side of things- I’m around 200lbs and 6’2” and it was the best modification I’ve done-

I’m looking into getting a new rear shock-

Glad the shock worked out for you. And good on you for checking to see if there was anyone in that van ! 👍

Did the Racetech front spring on my 250l last year. So far I have been very happy with it. It’s huge improvement off-road. Front end hasn’t been bouncy at all. Still have the stock rear shock with preload cranked up to the limit.

Great to hear your perspective because I had been thinking about replacing the rear shock first because it appears to be an easier project. Normally I like to keep the front and rear springs balanced for cornering.

I have read a lot of good reviews about the K-tech shock. It seems like a good choice. I have heard that some people wish that they had gotten the stiffer front springs option from K-tech, but those people say that if it feels too soft, then add more fluid than what is recommended to make up for it.

Thanks for the video! Your videos helped me to make up my mind on crf250l purchase over a year ago and now I'm getting a new shock for it 😉 keep up good work!

I found that the stock shock on my 250L could not power through washboard. If it was bad enough and uphill, I couldn't even accelerate through it. Once I replaced the shock, washboard became a total non-issue. It's crazy how much the suspension plays a part in how the bike feels.

Nice video! I appreciate your stopping to check for people inside that car. 😊 Regarding the KTech shock, very good review. I have never like the way the stock shock sets down so much when I get on my 300L and the occasional bouncing up and down. I think your riding and mine are similar, so I wanted to ask if you purchase a specific model from KTech? I don’t want a shock that is set too stiff because I want a comfortable ride on the streets and dirt roads. Thanks again Don.

Glad you added your feelings regarding back pain. It's a consideration for me while I'm toying around with the idea of getting the particular brand/model. I'm in my 60's so felt a connection to your communication style. Wondering though... do you feel that... as a result of riding your back has strengthened? I intend to ride service roads and developed trails 90+% of the time so I wonder if I'm just fooling myself that my back strength is likely to improve if I take up riding. Seems safe to say that riding does '' encourage raised levels of fitness in general, but with backs... it could be another story. I'm not a 'chronic' back pain sufferer but yes, some days aren't so good.
Thanks so much for creating and uploading this video. 😉🙏🏻

Thank you, great video. I have had my CRF300L for a year now and am looking to upgrade the rear shock. Of course there are several to choose from and trying to find good comparisons is difficult. One of the issues I noticed with the stock shock was when riding up hill on rocks or unvaried terrain the rear tire hops a lot. Did the new K-Tech shock remedy that problem? New to your channel, looks like you may live in Oregon which is where I am located, great riding. Thanks again, Neighbor Darrell

Hello
In K tech site says its length it is adjustable. Maybe you know how is the length adjusted in this shock? what is the purpose of the length adjustment, to increase a bit the height on the back of the bike?

How much did this shock system cost to but for the parts alone?, and how much did the labour cost or did you do it yourself to install? Labor I think would be like about maybe $250 to What you think?

As I await my Honda 300L on order, I appreciate your sharing a worthy upgrade, together with some beautiful scenery. I'm guessing British Columbia, but where?

I don't know if it's my height or just me, but that passenger strap is so uncomfortable to sit on and no one talks about it. Removing it was the first modification I did to the bike. It's a pretty easy fix so it's not that bad
