I recently upgraded to the 67i from an older eTrex20. I was very happy nearly my entire map environment transitioned with one exception, the file size for georegistered photos was reduced so I need to rework some of my charts. The battery life is exceptional, even with detailed tracking enabled. Messaging and sync has been very fast. I also like that it routes along trails very well. It’s also cool that it runs many of the watch widgets, like battery life.

I have the 67 now for a few months and what I notice is that if I don't use it for say two weeks and power it on it can't find the satellites for a very long time. Powering it off and on again solves that issue.

Best GPS I've ever used (and I've had quite a lot). Accurate to 5 feet / 1.5 metres even indoors .

Recently bought the 67 off you with the offer on 1:25K maps 🙂. Excellent unit and I'm v glad I did, in spite of the cost. Though now have an unused 65s 😞
I use it for cycling and walking, though more the former. For cycling, I like to have the screen on all the time, so wish there was a button I could press to just make the light turn on. With the 65s the enter button didn't do anything in normal running, so could be used for this. Oh well, nothing's perfect.
I could never get the hang of the Garmin Explore app (at least with the 65S), so v happy to be able to just use the Connect app. Works a treat.

I upgraded from my 66i, and love it. I lost no features and there are many improvements when using. Biggest pluses for me are the increased battery life, reduced charging time and better gps reception. I have upgraded my plan to allow for 10 min satellite tracking and am loving this feature. My only concern was that I had a Garmin topo map on my 66i, that I thought would not transfer over but it did. Not sure if that will be the case for everyone though but worrying about loosing this map delayed my purchase. Am very happy with the upgrade. I also loved the 66i, but love this one more. My main uses are on my motorbike (have my key attached to it) so it is always on my handlebars, and the occasional hunting/tramping trip. I ride my motorbike every day in all weather, so device is exposed to elements and both have not failed yet.

Had my GPSMAP 67 since July I got off you guys, love it, best gps device I've owned having owned the 60CSx, 64s, 65s it's been up Ben Nevis and Scafell worked a treat. I also have a genuine OS V2 1.25 card in which I find sometimes is good to use like up Ben Nevis and Scafell but if you're walking around anywhere built up OS is unclear on the streets and roads I find. If you're on a budget with maps Talky Toaster maps should be mentioned as they're great maps and anything that is missing or isn't exact you can update via OSM to be on the next weeks update. I walk between both maps as like I say above both have pros and cons. Like OS maps are also exceptional at the coast with every rocky outcrap and cliff visible where as Talky maps are literally blue sea or yellow sand.

Another very good video from a great customer focused company. Think I could be upgrading in the 24.

Regarding the screen on the 67/67i, have you applied a screen protector? If so any issues with brightness, etc.? I’m thinking I’d like to have one on for added protection.

Hi, I purchased my Garmin GPS 67 from yourselves earlier this year. Now when I switch it on I get the following message “cannot authenticate maps. Contact the map content seller for help”. How can I resolve this.

I’ll consider one for the battery life, once it gets a solar option 😎

Re your watch… mine lives outside my jacket all the time when outdoors 👍🏻 Except when scrambling.

Hi. Just watched this thanks. First I will definitely want OS Maps 1:25000 but I already subscribe to OS online maps - does that give me an option to use or transfer OS on the unit? Second, is the only difference in the 67i that you have satellite comms and the SOS function? Thanks

The 67 and 67i are the same price, at this moment... 67i, has in-reach, but does not use GLONASS. Does In-Reach require a fee to use all its features? Is GLONASS 'better' to have, than not have? Thanks!!

If you work out your route on basecamp or any other platform that is based on os mapping then surely when that track/route is transferred to the Garmin it will overlay the route onto the mapping using public rights if ways so it does not matter that the Topo maps do not differentiate between these and other paths. I guess it's in an emergency that it might be a handicap but then of course you should have an OS map with you.

Hello, thanks a lot for your videos, always nice and useful !. I own the GPSMAP 67 from eight months and I'm very satisfied (my previous device was a 64s, also a great one but the multiband and battery life of the 67 makes a lot of difference, also the usb-c connection type helps me a lot in terms of recharge and link with the pc), my only concern with the 67 is the altimeter which is often less reliable and precise compared to the Fenix 7x one (my other gps device, also very happy of, before I had the Fenix 6x pro): I wonder if someone else has experienced the same issue, also which settings are used. With regard to the software interface I would like as a future improvement from Garmin the possibility to have in the Main Pages view more than one map page, with different settings: I mean as I often need to check my route and position both on the TopoActive map and a customized one (a historical 1:25k map) actually to do this I have all the times to recall the map menu-->map settings-->map manger-->customized maps and then "switch it off", return to the map view, and then again all the steps to restore the view of the layer with the custom map. I've read the manual and searched on the web but I was not able to find a way to currently obtain that setting, in case this option is already available. Thanks again & sorry for my poor english !.

Watching this video and spending hours comparing vs other devices, this seems to be the best for my upcoming Cape Wrath Trail... would you agree? Also, what are the SOS features like compared to the Garmin In-reach? TIA :)
