I wonder if he has been to these countries. I'm in South East Asia now and I've Ben to most of these countries and I think he exaderates especially your first month's cost until you locate one of those less expensive apartments. He also forgets to mention the extreme pollution of Kathmandu, you will never see the mountains. Every morning they have to dust off everything a layer of smoke and dust dirt from the streets and anything left left outside. Then don't go look at the river it's raw sewage. Ask anyone who's been to Indonesia about the trash on the sides of the road.

Great information and videos. Thank you. Happy New Year. Where are you calling home these days, or are you slow traveling?

Good choices, but not all of these offee easy to get residemcy visas. Vietnam, for example, offers no residemcy visas, requiring frequent hops out of the country.

Good list! There are similar videos touting countries like Portugal, Greece, Thailand, and Mexico ... but unfortunately these places are no longer cheap. One suggestion: even more affordable than Cambodia is nearby Laos.

would be nice to include info about medical expenses/insurance - for some people might be an important factor for choosing one country over another

Can you do a similar video for south America? I'm personally considering Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Columbia, but open to others. I'm interested in retirement residencies in 2 countries with opposite climates, to sail from the heat.
Retiring to my cat on 01 JUN 30.

I agree you could live in those countries like a Queen for $1500/month.

"Lavishly and Like a King, on $1, 500" is BS .. try "on a budget" ..

For some strange reason, Africa still hasn’t made the list. Even though there are countries such as South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, are excellent fine choices.

I'll be "retiring" in Siem Reap, Cambodia 4/2025, with $260, 000 in savings, NO debt and $3, 300 static monthly income - YES

You need to work on your audio. You either pound your table when you narrate or you need to speak into your mic differently. There’s any annoying noise when you speak making your vlog unwatchable.

I call Bullsh*t. One cannot live LAVISHLY, or like ROYALTY on of $1, 50O per month in any of these countries. I know this to be factual as I have stayed in all these countries with the exception of Nepal. Remove the word LAVISHLY and then you may have an honest video. BTW, you might wish to look up the definition of a word before using it. So sick of these click bait, BS videos that make false claims and give people a false hope.

Probably going to retire to Monaco. Looking at a permanent lease on the Presidential Suite at Hotel Monte Carlo. They have the biggest casino. I'll just do room service for most meals. I'll have my Social Security and about forty grand saved up.
