Manual Testing | SDLC Models | Part 7 |JS Testing Academy | Joshi Franklin

SDLC stands for Software Development Life Cycle, which refers to the process of developing software. There are several SDLC models, each with its own approach to the phases and activities involved in software development. Here are some common SDLC models:

Waterfall Model: Sequential approach where each phase (requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment) flows downwards like a waterfall. Each phase must be completed before the next one begins.

Agile Model: Iterative and incremental approach focused on flexibility and customer collaboration. Development is done in small, rapid cycles (sprints), with continuous feedback and adaptation.

Iterative Model: Similar to Agile but with longer development cycles. Each cycle produces a deliverable portion of the software, and subsequent cycles build upon the previous ones.

V-Model (Verification and Validation Model): Corresponds each development phase with a testing phase. Testing is planned in parallel with each stage of development to catch defects early.

Spiral Model: Combines elements of both iterative and waterfall models. It emphasizes risk assessment and allows for incremental releases of the product.

DevOps Model: Focuses on integrating development and operations teams to improve collaboration and productivity through automation and continuous delivery.

Rapid Application Development (RAD): Emphasizes rapid prototyping and iterative feedback over planning and heavy upfront design. It aims to accelerate development and improve flexibility.
