Not what the title says. From what I can tell, he's comforting people who are worried about being unoriginal in their writing (and he's right) - however that is very different from telling people to follow their dream jobs. There are jobs that will be forever inaccessible (if it requires a degree you don't have the money to pursue for instance) or aren't all that stable.
I know it's not the point of the video, but many writers have another job to support themselves financially. Yes, everyone can write - but in this context it's more than a job.

I also would like to highlight the fact that a lot of young writers feel pressured to make money off of their work because of that mindset that if it doesn't bring you money, it's worthless. Don't get me wrong, there's also an issue with artists being told they should work for free (bullshit), but a work is just as valuable, whether it is published or not.

I know a video title like this is a small detail, but it bugs me so bad because I've seen so many people struggle to write at all because they were weighed down by the anxiety created by that mindset, as well as people seeing their own stories as unimportant. It's such a shame have a toxic productivity mindset be reinforced by the title of a video with such a good message

I want to write comics. But I'm worried since most are either not accepting proposals or you need a/to be an artist. Or have a full team. Even pages already made. But they just say "if you don't like my politics, don't buy my books. " 😑😤🤦 my guess is cause they share the same politics as HR. Look at Eric July, a "nobody" who built his own company from the ground up. Cause he was more libertarian he was called all kinds of names. Even being overly critical cause it was his first comic. They even called the experienced members of his team "wash ups." I've been told the comic industry is full of snakes.
