I like how he’s never 100% bias to his own company and shouting out other companies for specific tasks. Much respect. Just bought a ac1 because of that 💪

I'm a Canadian. I love guns, I love the way that you can purchase this gear in the US. I have just discovered your channel and I'm so glad that my ideas on most of the things are actually backed up by professionals. I have to say you are a great guy who doesn't just put his brands stuff out there. I love the way you admit to mix and matching. It makes me proud to know my gut has been right since childhood. Much love from Canada

Lucas, a good H harness for people like us is the Mission Spec Rack Straps. It’s more narrow in the back, staying up closer to the shoulders. I mainly just prefer H harnesses because they are easier for me to put on more quickly in an emergency. But if you wanted an H harness, that one would probably work for you

I can recall two US Army vets I've met who survived an AK round to the head (probably 7.62x39). One guy was in Vietnam in 1969 and the other in Mosul, Iraq in 2007. Both got lucky that the bullet struck not quite square with the helmet, however, both guys had a really gnarly halo like scar from the bullet riding along the inside of the helmet and following the curve, cutting deep into the head. Both guys were still knocked unconscious and pretty much survived by chance.
Helmets do not stop rifle rounds, even intermediate rounds.

Thank you for doing this and putting all of this information out there. It helps the little guys with not much of a community.

I mean all the original TC-2000 series helmets were made by MSA and Gentex but hypebeasts forget that there was a time before SEALs had OpsCores. MSA was the hotness before OpsCore and quality wise they are equal if not better.

Ballistic helmets that have stopped rifle rounds have done so at ver long range and/or werent a direct and just followed along the edge of the helmet

For a budget ballistic helmet, a great option is buying a used US military CVC helmet, buy a Team Wendy BOA retention system, and your favorite choice of shroud and helmet rails. Put it all together and you get a ballistic helmet built from all US made parts. Looks and functions like an ops core, for around $300.

Jocko has a great interview with Joe Rogan about how when in urban fighting and how he is started wearing light weight and minimalist gear and by the end of campaign his team was wearing all the armor they could get ahold of, side plates, shoulder DAPS, groin protector and full helmet.

URBAN FIGHTING = Need for lots of armor.

Bought a couple sets of plate bag cushion. Night and day. Bought a set of l210 & 3810's. Spilt into two carriers with the lighter 38's in front to "compensate" for the loadout weight. Works well for me. My 2¢.
