TODAY"S VIDEO:

Do you know what the only two foods on the planet that don't cause any death are? Spoiler alert, it's not plants. In today's video I respond (again) to Neil deGrasse Tyson's utterly bewildering thoughts about veganism. Unfortunately his views around veganism are becoming more and more absurd, and his cognitive dissonance is really being turned up.

I'm having a hard time believing Neil is even serious 😂😂 I am so embarrassed for him.

The segment about the plant aliens freaking out at vegans eating plants has to be one of the weirdest and worst points against veganism. How on earth is this man a serious, well respected intellectual?

I wasn't prepared for the ridiculousness level of neil's arguments when I started watching this video

Hi ed, I am a 'vegetable alien', and I wanted to say thank you for all you are doing. We love you, you are our hero.

Vegans: We should stop causing unnecessary suffering.
Neil: WHAT IF PLANT ALIENS SAW US EAT SALADS?!?!?!?!

Neil is so used to being the most intelligent man in the room that he's lost the ability to ask himself if he might be wrong.

This is a nice reminder that having intelligence in one field doesn't mean you're an intelligent person

I think this confirms that Neil is certainly not a genius.

These are the arguments of a person lying to themselves so they can continue doing what they're doing without feeling guilty.

Neil being that kid in class who never does the assigned reading but loves talking in the seminars.

Wow, I am honestly shocked. I had no idea deGrase Tyson was capable of such irrationality. I've always admired and respected him very much. I'm stunned ...and disappointed.

I have been an activist for 3, 5 years, I have spoken and debated more than 700 people from all backgrounds including scientists... and I have never seen arguments as ridiculous, ignorant and dumb as those ones. This is really a mind blowing thing to see from a respected scientist, I can't believe what I'm hearing...

I never thought I would lose brain cells listening to Neil Degrasse Tyson speak, but here we are.

I very rarely comment on YouTube videos and only do so when I really want to express an opinion or in this case, a fact. Earthling Ed, I wanted to say that you are honestly one of the most eloquent and articulate speakers I've listened to - both online and face-to-face. I also believe the tone with which you speak and your calm demeanour adds quite a lot of influence to your arguments and criticisms. Amazing stuff! Keep doing what you do. 🎉🎉

The bit about plant aliens is just incredible. Using his own special analogy just replace his plant aliens with a spaceship full of cows, imagine the horror that they'd find on Earth. What an absolute tool.

I remember a man once said, "People like finding excuses outside of themselves to account for their reprehensible behavior."

When i was a teenager i believed NDT was just fantastic, i gobbled up everything the man said on every platform and felt super cozy about it, "look at all this stuff i know". Turns out he's full of it.

Thank you. Your videos made me vegan. Love from India!!!! Your activism in UK made me feel like same things may also happen in India. I researched and found that they do. I just followed my logic and my heart. I came accross veganism a couple of years ago but became a vegan only at the age of 26. I have never consumed meat or eggs as I was a dairy consuming vegetarian for my whole life. In India being a vegan is so DAMN easy. We have a culture of cooking with all these spices and we eat veggies with roti (tortilla). I just had to eliminate ghee, butter and milk or milk products. What held me back was the doubt regarding b12 supplements. Not anymore tho. Took me some time to be a vegan and never never never going back.
Thank you from India
