I’ve been hearing you actually need less nutrients for the DWC system do to the fact the plants getting optimal amount of nutrients from the water the roots are living in

good stuff. lol nice video .. thanks for doing it. I think I'll keep doing DWC. I saw more Pro's than Cons, and a higher margin for error is not always bad either. :D

Great videos man. I have a question which I cannot find the answer for, hope you can help. I have a 1.6m deep pond which I want to do dwc in. Can a growbed for dwc be too deep?

i would say everything this guy said about dwc is almost the exact opposite...beside the fact that dwc uses more water/nutrients. However this is not good for commercial scale. Go around to some of the big commercial grows. Almost NONE of them are using dwc. Its alot more work, nutirents, money, and space. Also Its not as forgiving as he is saying it is and alot more daily tasks go along with using a RDWC system.

Can you have the plant rafts on top of the fish tank? So that the system is an all in one system. That the fish tank and plant rafts are all together.

Very informative video. If year round temperatures are always between 10 and 35 Celsius, would a DWC system require heating or cooling? As for feed costs, is using duckweed a viable alternative to fish-feed, if one is able to produce duckweed onsite?

Does an airflow pump need to be on constantly or can it be on a timer?

So if I'm picking up what you're puttin' down... Since DWC requires more nutrients to achieve a certain ppm, and more feed is required to do so - does that mean this system naturally accommodates more fish?

thank you so much. cant wait to share your videos with family,
how do you feel about Kratky? i do it in 1 gal. jugs but would love to try it this summer in my hydro trays with tree pots. Kratky's great if your sick or fragile or in recovery or just too damn busy, lol.

i have heard on some of the other channels that people are doing an air gap for their dwc raft systems. at the time i did not know why, but i have deduced that it might be to solve their oxidization problem that you eluded to. would that be a fair assessment?

Dwc requires less nutrients not more ..
