Reminds me of a time about 13 years ago when I was falling, falling badly in I ended up marrying her. This album will always bring those times back to me. Thanks for sharing this. Waits is a brilliant songwriter - a real magician at the keyboard.

LIsbon. This film is a jewel. The sound track is superb. Tom Waits enriches the film as well as every artist of the movie.

Somehow, a few of us were able to see this in Cincinnati in 1982 because the critics and the audience killed it. I'm not sure how the movie owner was able to secure a copy. We were told that once we saw it, that was it. I remember how beautiful it was visually and how wonderful the songs were. No, it wasn't The Sound of Music thank god. I guess that is what people wanted or were expecting. I saw it maybe twice on the big screen. I may have seen the video. If you get in the mood of it, it's wonderful. Thanks for posting whoever posted this. Listen to the whole album if you can. I'm surprised there weren't more covers made of this song or Jazz people didn't pick up on it. This is a wonderful song.

there is a long version of "take me home" soomewhere on youtube. extended lyrics but soprano all the way. No Tom "the tuba" Waits to make it sound jazzy. Just Crystal sugar.
