As a wise man once said "Indian Education System lacks two things, Education and System".

India's education system is so good that majority of us first do B.Tech and then realise what we actually want to pursue in our lives.

As a current student of this education system i completely agree with you sir.

As a Student in this system, I 💯% agree with Sir on this :
1) It lacks Critical Thinking or Leadership building and Creative Thinking
2) It doesn't focus on your skills rather give garbage information
3) Reservation issue
4) Manipulated information

This is my personal opinion being from NIT . Education system is not good. Not oriented towards industry and r&d
What ever skills I mastered, were all self learned.

As a student myself, I truly agree with you. Our education system only produces high class *employees* and nothing else. They don't teach correct history to us, they don't teach our own ancient maths to us and our syllabus is 70 percent garbage

Indian educational system taughts how to work under a boss. Not how to become a boss. It teaches about 9-5 jobs. Not how to become a millionaire. Such a waste educational system 😔

Abhijit is 100% bang on!..if you are doing well or contributing to building some nation, its not because of the education system, its your own ability(Indians work particularly hard outside India). All our education certificates require verification and authentication, degrees from India are sometimes not recognized, so he is talking about the skewed system and the pathetic state it has come to, the NEP should also make a law which is binding on both parties to give and take education in an accountable manner🙏

100% true. I've studied civil engineering from top state college but a contracter or simple mason has more knowledge than me. I even go blank how to begin work with but I have fantastic marks in college.

Engineering is a practical science but most of the colleges in India don't even have proper labs. Though my college had but they just tell us do this and this and practical is over. They didn't let us think why we did this and what happen if we don't do this.
Sad reality😪

You're 💯 correct!
I'm with you, it's not them, it's their education speaking, just let them spread the hate without proper knowledge.

Having studied in a rural setting, a state curriculum school(Karnataka) and then a CBSE curriculum school, and then in a college, under the absolutely dogshit Bangalore University, and then a master's from IIT Gandhinagar, I completely agree Indian education system is GARBAGE. Atleast upto undergraduate level.
And yeah cyber coolies is the right word. Youth nowadays cry of unemployment, but it's because their career choices are heavily skewered in a few sectors, and highly vacant in most others.

Its absolutely true. How can one deny this that Indian education system was more than amazing before british period and after them, we all know what they have done to our Education system. They have manipulated everything and made our values and stories as mythology. They have adopted our system and forced theirs upon us. We have not seen the great education system in India after Nalanda period.

Even on IAS level you are required to mug books and dates which even an archaeologist won't do. And then what do you expect the same IAS will prefer? Someone who questions their false ego or someone who is subservient.
The answer is pretty simple. And people should realise this. Instead of farm laws which 10% of goons managed to repeal we should be on the streets to change the education system, faster implementation of EV, waste management systems and what not. Yet we act like we are highly developed and just shun people from our south bombay balcony

Thank you, thank you finally someone who agrees with me. I'm an engineering student and I'm just tired man. So much political agenda and the exam culture is so bad. I need to share this video with my Dad

The problem is India is still following the British education system. The government should gradually blend the ancient Indian education system with the current education system.

My School....had extremely, absolutely epic teachers!! When we were in class 8, Physics teacher, shows up to demonstrate cosmic rays, and radio communication systems. If ny one asked about the syllabus, he would say, "to hell with your puny books. This is science, it cannot be bound, has no language"...a year goes by, cheaper and very young people are brought in as faculty, who knew nothing but the book and the syllabus, and those teachers that, even after retirement were in this school, teaching us...had daily conflicts with them. They must've thought to themselves, "I've had a successful career, complete life, why will I do this?"....literally, within 6 months, all of them left. And now there are teachers that google the answers of our queries, and answer the next day....
Indian Education system is done for! Its the individual's credit always!!

Correct me if I am wrong but aren’t we still under the Indian Education Act, 1875? At the time they needed English speaking clerks and that is why more focus is given on English and Maths and all. In other countries they are taught in their own languages and focus is given on actual education.

I am a victim of this education system. Since my childhood, i have come across only 4 to 5 good teachers across all subjects. I always felt like stuck in a simulation called education system which everyone has to go through mandatorily. Most teachers consider their jobs like an agenda and almost no one cares of student improvement. Almost all the top ranking students are self studiers and less than 1 percentage of the students might get influenced by their teachers.

The best physics teacher I found was outside the school. My teacher was an IIT pass out after which he went to America for further studies, he came back and started teaching here. He was quite vocal about how bad the science is taught in Indian schools.
