Use version history to go back to a previous version of a file in Microsoft 365

With your file saved to OneDrive or SharePoint in Microsoft 365, use Version History to go back to a previous version of a file if someone makes a change you don't want.

is there a way for the author / editors of a specific version to add a note or information in that version's metadata? And if yes, how can you make that info visible within the version history window?
