This tutorial will show you how to manage user permissions on your Synology NAS to ensure that it's secure. The things that your users have access to must be periodically reviewed to ensure that they have access to the things they need, but nothing more (best practice). This is the first video in a series of videos designed to help you secure your Synology NAS!

New subscriber here. Very clear and concise! I'm so glad I found your channel - will definitely be checking out your other videos as I am somewhat of a Synology newbie.

I've always thought it was odd that users with access to DSM, can all view each other's Home Folder.

Great upload as usual. Thank you.

Quick question. I have a shared video folder, "Video, " and under that, 3 sub-folders. Is it possible to give a user Only access to one of the 3 sub-folders?
