Is New BD Droid Worth $120 in Galaxy’s Edge?

They are now selling these little BD Droids in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland and Disney World theme parks. Do you think that $120 is a fair price, or a little steep?

I actually just started up continuing to build mine at home lol. I’ve been 3D printing parts for it for months off and on and I’m finally getting around to finishing it. I hate how these have such low articulation I feel like they missed a big opportunity to make it mountable on your back like in fallen order

I’m on the fence… do they have different personality chips? Or colored custom parts?

These use the same technology as the ones you can build yourself in the Star Wars land in Disney Parks, but can't use any of the accessories. That includes Personality Chips. It's pre-boxed, and there are only colors available. It's slow and feels cheap with the unpainted plastic head letting light show through it. There are fit and finish issues with panels coming off pretty easily on many models. Disney needs to do better for charging $109 for this.

Depends, do you build him at the droid depot? Are there other color choices/parts? Does the personality chips work for him? If yes to these questions then yes, I love BD-1 and would love you build one. But if he’s just a buy it and this is the only color and personality chips aren’t compatible then no and they should add a BD building option…

I think that the other Droids you make are better it was 200$ but it was fun if you have kids and money try it. It’s so cool as a kid to build you Droid unit and watch it come to life and it interacts with the park and it’s remote controlled in my opinion it’s a must do in Star Wars Galaxy edge

skip the walking feature and just have it use magnets or clips for your back or shoulder . other than that I like it still ..

Bought it for a cosplay, worth it just to have it light up & make noise

I feel like it would be worth it if it had the same speed as the other droid models. This unit moves at half speed and it’s sad. If you wanted to stroll around with it it’d be like walking with an infant.
