It’s one of Britain’s great nature spectacles. Roy Lupton guides us through the roebuck rut in Hampshire, with commentary on which deer to shoot and which to leave for a future season. And what happens to all that lovely venison? News correspondent Deborah Hadfield finds out, as she sets herself the challenge of buying wild deer meat. Meanwhile, in Africa, Ollie Williams is out after kudu, guided by the students from the Northern Cape Professional hunting School. As a vegetarian of 27 years and vegan of a further 7 years I have to say: - Forget Vegan - Go Venison!
It's the next step beyond veganism - ethically sourced meat - if you wish to be truly ethical, learn to stalk and take full responsibility for killing the animal by doing it yourself.

I still will never understand the distain and hatred that folks from the UK have against Birds or prey, especially sea eagles. Like it should be celebrated that they are no longer extinct there, but now all the sheep farmers just want to repeat the errors of the past. Same goes for beavers. If you love nature and the countryside, you have to love all of the animals that live there period
