Genesis to Introduce Hybrids and Range Extenders

Range extenders, which combine smaller batteries with fuel tanks for extended range, will offer up to 560 miles of combined range, according to Hyundai. These models will be built at Genesis' Georgia plant, alongside Hyundai's Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 9.

Genesis plans to sell 40% hybrid vehicles globally by 2028, targeting 1.33 million units. This approach aims to provide a variety of electrification options, from traditional combustion engines to full electric models.
