Why USNA...

Hey, thanks for turning in! In this video we talk about why you should consider the Naval Academy as an option for college if you think you can get into a better school such as an Ivy League where you don't have to pay back time afterwards by serving in the military. While everyone has different viewpoints and situations in life, we think USNA can be a great fit for a lot of people. If you consider all it has to offer!

My son is really considering the Naval Academy. He has 24 D1 offers for football and has it down to a few schools (he did turn down all the Ivy League teams). I just want to make sure he knows what he would be getting himself into (your videos are helpful). He liked the Naval Academy better than West Point (we visited West Point twice)… we live in PA and both academies are about the same distance from where we live (less than 2.5 hours away).
He did an official visit to UConn which was very nice and has a lot to offer including NIL opportunities that the Navy is not allowed to offer. He still has time to decided, but UConn is a full scholarship plus they offer $11000 a year for cost of attendance.
I don’t know what he will decide…

Hi Julia and Philip, enjoy your channel! How would USNA commissioned officer differ from NROTC commissioned officer, career-development wise? What would be those courses or skills that only offered at USNA?

Thank you for the videos! Could you please share what a week looks like for you now? Both deployed and in port. Hours, how does time off work? Can family come and see you? So appreciate you guys.
