2004 Acura RSX intermediate shaft separated from CV axle

In this video I use a socket and hammer to separate the intermediate shaft from the CV axle. I have already pulled this assembly from the car which was quite simple once you break the lower ball joint loose from the lower control arm.

Dude you're a life saver. I've been going at this for 2 hours. I tried heating it up with a torch hitting it with a crowbar. But a mallet, a 32mm and 36mm socket made it for short work. You're the man.

Amazing trick and I’ve got a tip for you guys too.

I had poor access and didn’t want to remove this from the car.

So I got some duct tape and taped my 300mm 1/2” extension onto the socket and hit with a hammer. All done in 2 minutes without any disassembly!!

I was starting to wonder if I had the wrong half-shaft. I am used to tapping b series axles out. this k swap I am doing I had to do some work to get them on, then back off. I guess this is just how they are.
