Thank you so so much for all the kind words everyone. It's just insane to me that you're watching and appreciating this. I had no expectations when I walked onto that stage, I just wanted to do what I love doing – sing with all my heart and soul. And to get three chair turns and a place on Team Tom is just out of this world. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all your lovely comments and messages. I can't believe it.

I love this version.. he completely took a song most poeple consider a "goofy" pop song and completely changed it into something that feels so much deeper and beautiful. The audience is completely silent as well... its amazing. 6 years later and it's still awesome. The fact the judges .waited all the way through to turn around is awesome too.. it made his reaction 100 times better than if they had all turned right at the start.

For me this was easily the best performance of this episode, a flawless emotional interpretation of a great Scottish Classic that used to bring a BIG smile on my face every time it was on the Dutch radio (all those years ago...)  Now this Daniel comes on and makes a perfect ballad out of this, leaving the audience and all judges equally impressed with the purity of his voice and a flawless emotional timing....  It's a shame Ricky didn't turn, as this man deserved to get ALL the chairs turned in my opinion.  I think he'll come far this year under Sir Tom's professional guidance...!!

This song has stayed in my head since I first heard it which shows how amazing a version it is and how captivating daniel is. I've never posted a comment on YouTube before but I feel compelled because I think daniel is pure talent and it is the show's loss that he didn't go through. I for one will not be watching anymore. Please someone sign daniel because I really want to buy his album. He is amazing.
