When the forces acting on a body is not equal in all directions, there is a resultant force. What is resultant force? How to find the resultant force acting on an object when the forces are:
- in opposite directions
- perpendicular to each other
- in two different directions (not perpendicular to each other)

sir i have doubt if the resultant force is zero is that means that the forces are in equilibrium

Sir, how to calculate the resultant force for a pulley system?I can find the tension and acceleration but I always get wrong for the resultant force even when I substitute everything back into the equation I formed earlier. For example (Resultant force=W-T)
