Padme here 🤓 Thank you Craig & Victoria, you 2 are the best ❤️
Thought I’d add a little more context since it’s a very shortened version of the story and it’s easy to draw false conclusions.

My case is a good example of when you know too much about psychology, attachment and trauma, it can backfire if you aren’t conscious enough. I was deep into these subjects so I was able to see why he was so broken. I knew there was a little boy lost inside of him who wanted to be loved but was shielded strong to protect himself. I saw the good in him just like Padme did in Anakin. Sadly this can bring out such immense amount of empathy it starts to damage and hurt you. And that was the lesson I had to learn here.

I hope my story will help those in similar situation to see that:
1. It’s okay to believe someone when they tell you something. It is not your fault when they don’t keep their word.
2. It’s a good thing to feel empathy and compassion towards people.
3. Seeing the good in others doesn’t make you stupid or deserve poor treatment.
4. Ruminating on “could’ve” and “should’ve” scenarios won’t change anything.
5. Not everyone can leave immediately, cold turkey.
However!
1. You can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.
2. You have to draw the line and not try hugging a hedgehog when you’re already bleeding.
3. Just because you see why someone is hurt doesn’t mean they see it (or want to see it) too. Also it doesn’t jusitfy their behaviour especially when it’s detrimental to you.

We all do the best we can in the situations life brings us with the knowledge we have. It’s okay to make mistakes, everybody does. But smart people learn from them.

Mine lied, cheated, stole from me, and smeared me behind my back. After how I was treated, I don’t think I ever want to put myself in a position to be treated that way ever again.

I was married to this and had a very similar situation. It’s not okay and when you finalize realize you’re safe and will be okay without them, you will be happier and more whole than ever. God is good!

Watching this captivating video stirs up painful memories of the recent end of my 4 year relationship. My beloved partner chose to depart, leaving me with an unyielding ache. Despite my relentless efforts to reconcile, I find myself grappling with frustration and an inability to envision a future without him. Despite attempts to purge him from my mind, I remain haunted by his absence, feeling compelled to express my longing here.

Kinda easy to not take them back when they stay away for eternity.

This one hits very close I had a similar situation pregnancy wise but it was for a medical reason with the baby, we both decided it was best, he told me we would try again and to have faith.. he took me after he went home, and never came back again, I needed him so bad .. and still till this day he never asked how I am . For 6 months he had me blocked, he came back around just to tell me he wants to be at peace with what a beautiful relationship we had and that he wants me to find happiness with someone else .. he never asked me once about anything to do with that situation, it will be a year Dec 27th I truly pray that god heals me and truly heals him for what he did to “our family” . I truly love this man, but I know I have to move on … I needed him so bad

and how do we become in such a way that we would not only tolerate this kind of treatment but go back to wanting more of it.... probably because the person's parents or caregivers were manipulative to say the least, coming from a loveless household and not even realizing it. sometimes things need to get worse before they get better. as terrible as the experience can be, it just might be an eye-opener so that the person can start doing the much-needed work. this video sounds very similar to what I have been through. I will absolutely never be the same and that is probably for the best.

What struck me is how both coaches trashed the healthy guy she met after breaking up with the toxic one. They simply brushed it off, saying, "Oh, she didn’t have feelings for him, and he was too nice." This kind of behavior teaches men that being nice gets you friend-zoned and that you need to act like the toxic guy. Honestly, I am appalled.

Wow and she still wanted to take him back? Especially after the having kids one day comment? I would’ve flown off the handle
