Truck Smart Module 3 - Blind Spots

Blind spots on a semi-truck are no joke, no-zones surround the truck on both sides, behind the trailer, and even directly in front of the truck. See what you can do to stay out of a semi-truck’s no zone. Look for the truck driver’s face in their side mirrors, and even better, make eye contact with them, so you know they can see you. One more thing, never pass a snow plow.

My semi has few blind spots. I've got spot mirrors on each side of the hood, upper and lower spot mirrors on each side of the doors as well as the west coast mirror. Many so called drivers dont properly adjust their mirrors to get the most out of them, that when you get blind spots. So basically if something is very close to the front of my truck or behind it, those are my blind spots.

This BEGS the question, with todays high tech and cameras all over, why aren’t trucks equipped with multiple cameras eliminating blind spots? I for one despise the attitude and careless driving of truckers on the road these days. I do a lot of driving on interstates and have had more issues with truckers coming over on me than ever before.

Blind spots on the right and left of a big rig are a myth, and I can prove it. I drive Super B rigs, and you will not be able to hide your smallest car on the right or left of my rig. I have for years offered $1, 000.00 to anyone who could hide a car in my so called "blind spot". You can not do it, and you will not collect that money from me. I watched your video carefully, and your truck has huge blind spots. That may be your fault, or you just may not have been trained properly. I am a full time driver, and a part time driver trainer. I'd love to help you totally eliminate blind spots from you rig, so that you too can join the no blind spot club. Feel free to contact me.
