There is this amazing invention called the wheel.
You could buy a table or cart with wheels to make that case easier to move. You may even be able to attach wheels on the bottom of the table you are using. If you don't like wheels you can get furniture slides, they don't cost much. Could even attach furniture slides to the bottom of the case legs.

the distortion you are experiencing with the "skewed lines" with the case and the desk isn't because of the case or desk itself, but because of the fact that your wide angle lens is actually distorting the image at the edge of the frame because the focal length wide.

3:10 the curve of the straight lines on the case is due to your lens distortion that all camera lens have. you should be using lens correction in post production.
