John Ames down to B1 at the end of the song. He also slides into some first octave notes at the beginning of each verse.

His timbre was very similar to Tennessee Ernie Ford... just a 1/2 an octave lower. Amazing rendition, for sure.

He has a *beautiful* voice. So rich and full, with excellent vibrato. I love the song, too :D

How old is the clip?

i like how you ALWAYS see the same songs circulating around over and over again in the bass singing community, lol.
AND the same people, apparently.
also this guy sounds like an opera singer, maybe at some point? with that timbre

Sounds like he still has some vibrato down to that B1 at the end!

Забавно, тот голос, что у нас в России считается высоким басом/ бас-баритоном, на западе называют низким басом!))

Horrible !!!! It will never be a deep bass / basso profondo. He's just a bass, that's all.
