Everyone keep talking about this wonderful good to hear nor 25k per month you are in top 10% or whatever it is.
No one talks the base of this point.

Based on my research what I found is if your per capita family income is 25k-45k min you fall in middle class.
The fun part is no one talks about how many members in your family earns? If a person earns 1lakh per month and is the sole earner and he has a wife and 2kids his per capita earning is 25k per month then he falls in starting slab of middle class.

He has to earn more than 1, 80, 000 per month to break the upper bound of the middle class for his family

My family combine income is 50k per month, there are 6 members in my family, per Capita is 9k something which is Too much lower than your 25k criteria.

In case of India these figures are not really correct, lots and lots of people do not report their income. That's why you get these figures

This is one of the worst definitions and generalisations of middle class, as a single earner in a tier 1 city, even one person cannot survive in Bangalore with 25000 rupees, forget family

I guess here you've not done proper study in terms of purchase power difference (urban vs rural) as well as the availability. . . Middle class in Mumbai earns as kuch as 7 times to that of upper middle class in Chattisgarh and that's a fact

Que:- Family of 4, earning member-1, income per month 90000.
Case 1- all 4 are adult.
Case 2- 2 adult, 2 children
Which case is middle calss and which not?

My father earned 20k at the end of.his career and during COVID he retired at the age of 62 ... So yeah we're As we don't have anyone to earn and I've yet to start my job ...

Middle class depend on earnings, no i think it should depend on how much is left after all those indirect taxes we pay to govt.my rough guess is 30% in indirect taxes.

All these self employed peoples like stall owners and barbers etc do not report their incomes properly always make it a bit below the minimum threshold of tax slab so they do not have to pay tax all these 25k month earners are earning 35-45k if they are doing some small business.

Being better off than people without running water or electricity doesn't mean you should be complacent with the bare minimum as a standard of living. We should all want better living conditions fir ourselves and our neighbors. We can be grateful while striving to make life better.

Its not privilage just basic rights, if 90% population doesnt have it then its the govs fault for not providing them the opportunities
