Emily in Paris Season 2 Ending Explained, Emily in Paris Season 2 premiered this morning on Netflix, bringing us back to the dreamy, decadent world of Emily Cooper (Lily Collins). When we last met the Chicago-based marketing whiz, she was dealing with quite the romantic conundrum. After a season of flirting, Emily and her neighbor Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) finally hooked up. However, Emily learned the next day that Gabriel wasn’t moving to Normandy after all, but staying in Paris to launch his own restaurant. That meant there was no reason for Gabriel to break up with long-time girlfriend (and Emily’s BFF) Camille (Camille Razat). Further complicating matters? Emily had started dating a wealthy fashion house heir! Quelle horreur!

I didn't finished this season yet, but Gabriel is so annoying and toxic, he literally was flirting with Emily, but he had gf, and he framed Emily and she felt guilty for falling in love with him because he' got a gf, but it was his fault cause he never told her.

Let’s be real. Emily, Camille, and Gabriel are toxic in their own ways.

Felt like season 2 really didn't had anything much to offer. There was no focus on Emily's professional life and character development. I don't understand why there's so much of drama about this whole Gabriel thing...i mean either they should have ended up together or have gone their separate ways. Honestly, I don't like the idea of Emily and Gabriel being together anymore, it's kinda toxic and cringe.

I want Emily and Gabriel to end up together just because I don’t want them to hurt other people around them anymore. Just put them together and let others move on. They’re betraying so many people because of their drama.

Unpopular “theory”: The writers just wanted us to hate on Camille with this whole “manipulative mind game” so we wouldn’t feel bad for her in S3 when Gabriel gets back together with Emily 😂

I wanna see how crazy Emily going to be like in the next season since Camille playing a complete mind game on her💀.

I think it’s so cliché if she stays in Paris for a man. It’s too often the woman who has to give up on her dream to stay for the man. I think she should pursue everything she wants and if a man is truly worthy of her, he will support her no matter what.

Don’t you think that Gabriel is just a weak man? I don’t remember any love confessions from him. Emily always was the first to kiss him, not Gabriel. He never showed the initiative... If he truly loved Emily, he would never stay with Camille just because she seems to always be there for him... He didn’t even try to fight for these relationships, it seems to me that he was ok with any result.

unpopular opinion: I think Emily deserve so much better, especially after all the drama with GabriMille thingy, :'DDDD i don't want to see Alfie getting hurt in the next season TT he's such a nice guy for emily

Unpopular opinion: there is something about Alfie I don’t totally like. I feel like he’s a distraction for Emily because she’s trying to push her feelings for Gabriel down. And I hate how Camille manipulated both of them just to get him back when he clearly isn’t in love with her anymore. It was SO strange how they went from 0 to 100 moving in together.

Camille's mother was the mastermind of Gabriel and Camille getting back together. After that encounter in Savior, when Camille's parents knew about what happened between Emily and Gabriel, they planned something. It was kinda bit off that the next day Camille would be so friendly and again, but she played that manipulative "no men between us" pact with Emily - investing on Emily's guilt for everything that has happened.
During the meeting at Savior, Camille invited Emily to her house for the Champere campaign. I thinkthe accident with Camille's father was staged so that they can pull Gabriel in.
If you all could recall, they had dinner and shared some fun without Emily coz they left her sleeping inside. The family was trying to tie Gabriel back to them.
The next day when Emily left to the city, Camille's mom was so enthusiastic about Emily's departure.
While Emily was busy doing her job in the city there must have been something that happened in Camille's house with Gabriel being there.
Emily was freaking shocked to find out immediately that Gab and Cam are back to together during the last part of this season.
Camille and her mother played the real 🐍

Now I'm excited for Emily stepping up her game for the next season

What if Camille's mom hired Alfie to make her fall in love with him so Camille could get back together with Gabriel

I felt terrible for Camille because she got cheated on but to make a pact that you won't get with the guy you both love then do it is just fucked. Gabriel and Emily could've been together but Emily cared too much for Camille's happiness to actually be with Gabriel. God, my heart hurts. I know people are going to be like "What about Alfie?" and tbh, he deserves better. I think we can all agree he was just a distraction for Emily. A rebound. I really hope Gabriel and Emily find their way to each other.

I was watching it for Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu who stole every scene she was in. Give Sylvie her own show!

Honestly, her love life is a mess 🙄. I feel bad for Alfie and Camille.

Emily and Gabriel really annoyed me this season but for some reason I cant stop watching the damn show. I also really hated Emily's American boss, that scene with Sylvie resigning was so satisfying! Camille deserved so much better tho. I've been in Emily's position before and I can't believe how selfish and cringy that looked. If they want to save their friendship they're better off with other guys not Gabriel who doesnt give a flying fuck about their friendship anyway😒

istg if in the first episode of s3 gabriel is not running toward emily shouting her name and then they kiss and then she tells sylvie that she accepts and she'll stay in paris, imma throw hands 🙄🤚

A lot of people are watching the show as some kind of fanfiction where just because we have a protagonist and a leading man that they’re supposed to get together and everyone else doesn’t matter. These are real people (in the show), with real lives, and very real deep feelings. I feel so, so, SO bad for Camille because whenever she shared her feelings with Emily about Gabrielle it wasn’t a little “boo-hoo, I am so sad.” It was really a deep lamentation of love and loss. A real scarring of the heart that there’s someone she cares so deeply for and is now out of her life but couldn’t bear to let him go.

When she had the chance to sleep with another guy she said she couldn’t, when she sat in that little chapel thinking about Gabrielle she poured her heart out then.

People get so accustomed to their main characters and leads always winning in the end that they become blind to the fact that sometimes you really do have to lose. You have to grow up and take responsibility for the consequences of your actions. Which is exactly why I love Sylvie. Sylvie knows exactly what her life is about and she knows what that means for her and the people around her. I know she was deeply hurt about the trip to St. Barts, but what could she do? And that’s exactly what she thought, “what can I do? He’s not my husband” and as she told Emily he doesn’t 100% belong to her but she doesn’t want to belong to someone 100% either.

Sylvie is the epitome of a mature woman who knows what she wants and takes accountability. I love watching strong female characters that go against the grain even if it’s not what everyone else wants. The last time I felt like this was watching Christina Yang from Grey’s Anatomy. Women who don’t waver from their hearts desire and everyone else will just have to deal with it. Emily is selfish and a people pleaser and those two traits can’t exist at the same time.
