Two points of contention:

1) The Switch’s high game sales can also be attributed to the ease of buying digital copies compared to the physical releases.

2) Your Wikipedia graphic disproved your own point about Smash 4. Smash for Wii U alone sold 5.38 million while the 3DS version sold 9.63 million.

I remember when a little after I got my 3DS and then got Mario & Luigi Dream Team, I really wished they would release a remake or remaster of Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story because it was my favorite DS game ever and my copy went missing. I was very excited when the new one came out and I was one of the few people who bought it 😅 I'll have to play it again though and pay attention to the frame rate lol and I've barely played the new game mode.

The Sales you just showed before had the sales of the 3DS version of Smash being separated from the WiiU. The 5.5 mln copies are on the WiiU version alone, the 3DS game sold over 9 mln copies. these two combined make for over 14.5 mln.
I appreciate your efforts, but this video overall felt unprecise and lacking overall, definetly below your average video output

Wasnt the reason why Bowser's Inside story remake bombed because nobody was buying 3ds games anymore? The switch was already out 1-2 years at the time of announcment.

The Bowser’s Inside Story remake probably bombed to it being released so far in the 3DS’s lifespan. At that point nobody really cared about the 3DS anymore, majority of the focus was on the Switch by then.

I know animal forest is tecnically the lowest selling game of its series, but it would have been interesting talking about Amiibo Festival

Even though the Wii is the best selling console, its game sales consistently get beaten by switch. This is because the Wii was so casual-focused, were bought by families and non-gamers, just for Wii Sports and a few other titles. The Switch, however, is all about the games, so its game sales are more in line with the console sales. This actually makes the Switch more successful than even the Wii, in the long run.

The Wii U, combined with the more lukewarm sales of the 3DS, almost killed Nintendo. Thankfully the Switch was a huge hit.

wait a second wasn't the animal forest game still released on the N64. I don't remember it needing the ddr drive at all. It has a build in battery for the games clock tho :o

My only thing with these videos that concern me is when something is "best seller" of a console when it was the flagship game that was also included with said console. Those numbers sometimes make it seem very skewed and biased somehow

I would also add that the Mario & Luigi remakes came out in 2019, which was when the DS was on the point of being phased out. When a game comes out this late, if it's not a huge deal Like Pokémon or the Last of Us, sales are generally significantly lower than if the game came out even just a few years before

Wow! I must have been lucky to be able to own a copy of Kirby's Block Ball. It's actually a really fun spinoff game. Kirby Star Stacker which came out later on Game Boy was better, but Kirby's Block Ball was also a lot of fun as well. Honestly I'm a huge Kirby fan. I've played so many Kirby games in my life.

The first Wario Land is a lot of fun, but it is nice that 2 through 4 and Shake It had a more unique playstyle to Mario in comparison while Wario Land had inspirations from Mario, but it looks like they should make more Wario Lands that are like the first one.

I enjoyed a free download Pokemon Rumble Battle on my 2DS, but I had no idea there was a Wii U version despite owning a Wii U myself.

That screenshot you showed has Mario Kart 8 Deluxe above Mario Kart Wii. Also, the Wii is the highest selling Nintendo home console as the Nintendo DS is the highest selling console of all time as it is the second highest selling video game console of all time right behind PS2.

It doesn't surprise me that the 4th entry was the worst selling Smash Bros game, but what is surprising is the fact that the numbers are even that low because back during the Wii U era it seemed like I would always find someone to play the game online with.

I just want to say that one franchise you tend not to look at but I think you should especially since it is at its best on Nintendo systems, though not only on Nintendo systems but also PC and even the SEGA Dreamcast, the game I'm talking about is "TETRIS", and if you do do a video on Tetris be sure to include all the systems it has been on and any sequel or spin off titles, thanks

Why did you separate Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario RPGs from the platforming series but not separate Wario Ware from Wario Land?

Animal Forest was not released on the 64DD. It was released on the base N64. It was SUPPOSED to be on the DD but due to bad sales of the DD it was moved to the base N64.
