What happens if you press a WPS button on your router?

WPS stands for "Wi-Fi Protected Setup," It gives you an easier way to connect devices to your router.
If you've connected a device to a router before, you've most likely experienced the horrors of default router passwords. These are usually printed somewhere in the back and contain a long string of letters, numbers, and symbols.

So, here are two main ways to use WPS:
1. PIN Method: Enter the WPS PIN from your router into the device you're connecting. You can usually find this PIN on a label on the router.

2. Push Button Method: Press the WPS button on your router, and then press the WPS button on the device you want to connect.

Once you kick off the WPS thing, the router does its magic and shares all the necessary info with your gadget, making sure it hops onto the Wi-Fi train.
